Te Whatu Ora is now working to reinstate as many surgeries and procedures as possible on Monday.  We will contact you directly if your appointment is affected.

Getting sick over winter is common, but symptoms can often be managed at home safely. For symptoms that might need a bit more care there are a range of options available. Immunisation is your best protection.

24-hours a day / 7 days a week for free health advice from a registered nurse if you’re:

feeling unwell – but not sure whether you need to see a doctor
needing some urgent advice about a family member or friend who’s sick.

Family Doctor (GP) / Pharmacy

Your doctor will be able to deal with most medical problems.
If you don’t have a doctor call Healthline on 0800 611 116 or search for a GP in your area with Healthpoint.

Get treatment for common minor illness from community pharmacist. Your consultation and treatment may be funded under the Community Pharmacy Minor Health Conditions Service. More information here.

  • You will have to pay to see a doctor
  • If you are enrolled with a doctor, visits and medication are cheaper
  • Most doctors offer free treatment to children under thirteen

  • If your visit is due to an accident, tell the receptionist - this will make your visit cheaper
