Mental Health Services - Adult

Provision of mental health services for adults (18-65) is organised around three localities:

  • North Shore

  • Rodney

  • Waitakere

Access to services

  • Community based care via locality CMHTs (five teams across three localities)

  • Emergency / crisis assessment 24/7 (via CMHT crisis staff and Emergency Care Centre)

  • Alternatives to admission (crisis respite care and home based crisis support)

  • Inpatient treatment: Acute and ICU

  • Access to specialist ongoing rehabilitation & extended care residential facilities (not provided by WDHB)
